A defining moment came in 1989 when he met the legendary Senior Grand Master Edmund K. Parker, whose charisma and passion left an indelible mark on Kevin’s journey.

Kevin’s insatiable desire to learn and innovate took him to the United States, where he trained in the highly advanced Sub Level Four Kenpo under Dr. Ron Chapel. His extensive study of biomechanics and psychology has shaped his unique approach, leading to the foundation of groundbreaking programs like Volitional Attention Training (V.A. Training), designed for high-stress combative situations.

With numerous accolades, including his 2011 induction into the Combat Martial Arts Hall of Fame, and his founding of the BKKU International Martial Arts Summer Camp, Kevin has left a lasting legacy, both in the UK and globally. He is also a published author, seminar instructor, and DVD creator, all while continuing to shape the future of Kenpo Karate.
